We help coalitions, governments, nonprofits, networks, and mission-driven businesses facing uncertain times grow more aligned, adaptable and connected.
How? Custom decision games, playful stakeholder convenings, productive retreats, interactive focus groups, and empowering workshops clients can reuse again and again - plus gamified team systems that turn everyday work into more flow, feedback, and fun.
When people regularly engage in intentional, gamified, socially safe experiences, they learn faster, trust deeper, and make better shared decisions with greater buy-in.
This combination builds resilience, effectiveness, and regenerative outcomes for teams, organizations, and place.
Play & gamification quiet the threat response and light up learning chemistry (acetylcholine, dopamine, flow), making people more open, creative, and honest.
Social, facilitated experiences surface real incentives, fears, and ideas across stakeholders, instead of just opinions on paper.
"Critical Yeast" convenings focus on small, diverse groups of influential people who keep meeting, building trust, and modeling a culture others want to join.
Reusable games and formats give organizations a repeatable way to keep convening, sense-making, and adapting long after we leave.
A simple arc we use to move groups from uncertainty to action:
• Submerge - learn the context, build safety, identify stakes
• Diverge - open possibilities through breakouts, play, and creative activities
• Emerge - surface patterns, insights, innovations, and shared truths
• Converge - align, decide, and leave with clear next steps and owners
We draw on research-backed methods used in contexts like RAND, UN Global Compact, and leading regenerative practice – from Appreciative Inquiry and Actionable Gamification to Convergent Facilitation and group flow.

1. Decision & Strategy Games
Custom-designed role-playing and scenario simulations that let teams practice hard decisions safely, pressure-test governance models, and leave with clear preferences, shared language, and usable decision artifacts.
Small, curated cross-stakeholder gatherings that build trust, shared vision, and ongoing collaboration, especially across groups that do not usually agree, using Appreciative Inquiry, Convergent Facilitation, and "Critical Yeast" style cohorts.
Playful, psychologically safe listening sessions that feel like social gatherings, as opposed to dry presentations or online surveys, surfacing rich and clear assets, needs, and trim tabs for high-leverage action.
High-retention workshops that teach decision models, communication tools, or new processes through playful mechanics and social teambuilding. These sessions boost engagement, satisfaction, and psychological safety, and the learning sticks stronger than slide decks, demos, or online courses.
Custom-designed, interactive, human-centric conferences and summits where in the space of a day participants learn and practice new tools together, turning their learning into concrete actions, shared accountability, and a living community of practice.
We help you weave human-focused gamification into the fabric of your organizational systems: meetings, onboarding, member engagement, feedback loops, even reporting. Our methods boost participation, flow, follow-through, and shared accountability.
Every engagement includes design documentation, assets and reports so your organization can keep running these experiences.
We can also:
Facilitate high-stakes sessions.
Train internal facilitators.
Co-design follow-up convenings and campaigns.
We’re rooted in the Bay-Delta bioregion (North Bay to Monterey County) and collaborate with partners beyond.
De-risking strategies and decisions in uncertain times (climate, policy, org change, markets)
Building genuine buy-in across departments, partners, and communities.
Turning meetings and convenings into momentum with clear next steps and owners.
Strengthening relationships, trust and collaboration across silos and ideologies.
Getting richer signals than surveys: stories, patterns, and leverage points to act on.
Keeping systems engaging so participation, follow-through, and feedback stay high.
Creating adaptive, reusable formats and systems so you’re not constantly reinventing them.
